What is SAFE?
Supervised Adult Functional Exercise (SAFE) at Every Woman Health Club is an individual or small group transitional program that provides:
Who is eligible for SAFE? Any woman who has completed a course of physical therapy and has been determined sufficiently medically stable to participate in a regular program of physical exercise. Referral procedure Step 1 -- Discuss the program Near the completion of a prescribed course of physical therapy, the patient and her physical therapist discuss a referral to the SAFE program. Step 2 -- Set up a consultation If the patient is interested in the program, the physical therapist sets up an informational consultation with the SAFE director. A release of information is completed so that relevant medical and personal information can be discussed. Please note that an informational consultation does not require, imply, or ensure definitive commitment to or enrollment in the SAFE program. Step 3 -- Schedule an appointment If the SAFE program is an appropriate choice, the patient schedules an appointment at Every Woman Health Club to complete the registration process.
