Class descriptions appear below the calendar. Pre-registration is recommended. Drop-ins are welcome. Classes may be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Class Descriptions Ballet Workout Lily Learn simple dance combinations to develop balance, coordination, and memory skills as well as to help build poise and grace. Tone and firm muscles using your own body weight. No prior dance experience is necessary. Saturdays 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Belly Dance (Beginning) Malia Get a great workout while you learn the basics of belly dance. This beginning level class also touches on Middle Eastern and North African costuming, music, dance, and the cultures they evolved from. Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Belly Dance (Intermediate) Malia Get a great workout while you learn the basics of belly dance. Classes begin with a warm-up stretch. Traditional movement vocabulary is taught in every class. Wednesdays 7:45 - 8:45 p.m. Cardio Sculpt Donna Warm up your morning with easy-to-follow, fun cardio moves. Continue with 20 minutes of body-sculpting exercises, including an effective abdominal routine. Cool down and finish with a gentle, full-body stretch that will leave you feeling flexible and energetic. This class is for all levels. Wednesdays 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Circuit Training Donna Alternate three-minute intervals of cardio and body sculpting to get a great and fun workout. Work at your own level with lots of motivation to challenge yourself and improve. Thursdays 5:30 - 6:35 p.m. Conditioning Basics Dana Develop upper body, core, and lower body strength through the use of hand weights, resistance bands, and balls as you complete a variety of gentle conditioning exercises. Tuesdays 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Thursdays 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Iyengar Yoga Maria Following the Iyengar method, learn the basic poses with proper alignment and precision while building strength, flexibility, stability, focus, and concentration. Great class for beginning and intermediate participants. Mondays 10 - 11:15 a.m. Fridays 10 - 11:15 a.m. Restorative Yoga Serena Relax and be restored in this yoga class that incorporates methods such as Kripalu, NIA, Feldenkrais, and somatic movements. Wednesdays 10 - 11:15 a.m. Strength Training Donna Increase muscle tone and strength while improving bone density, skeletal integrity, and metabolism. Finish with a wonderful 15-minute stretch. This class is for all fitness levels, and you will notice improvement each week. Tuesdays 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Yoga Fundamentals Eileen Learn basic poses, principles of movement and posture, yoga philosophy, relaxation, and breathing techniques. The needs of each individual will be addressed. Mondays 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Zumba Denise Spice up your exercise routine! Get a great cardio workout while moving to Latin salsa rhythms.
